About the teacher staffed preschool program
Placerville Preschoolers Learning Center is a high quality, non-profit program designed for the needs of children two years and older. We have enjoyed sharing in the joys of early childhood for over 50 years and are now seeing the children of our previous students enroll in our program! This trust in our continued efforts to support the families of El Dorado County is an indicator of our family to school connection and supports our continued commitment to excellence!
Our teachers are all trained in early childhood education and bring their enthusiasm for learning to our students. We appreciate their long term commitment to our program and their desire to continue to share each individual child’s experience in developing a love of learning! We are proud to say our staff members are committed to our program and some have been with our program for over 20 years!
The staff at placerville Preschoolers view our center as an extension of your home where your child’s needs are most important. It is our goal to give your child a warm, emotionally healthy atmosphere where learning and most importantly, good old fashioned play can occur freely. For it is in this play that the greatest part of learning occurs. Child’s play is the work that “begins in delight and ends in wisdom.”
Placerville Preschoolers provides a variety of programs to fit your child’s needs:
Full day: 7:00am-6:00pm
Part day: 8:30am-12:30pm
Children must be at least 2 old to fully experience our program. Each child in our program will participate in a Learning Center based preschool program each day. We provide an overall ratio of one teacher for each eight children in our teacher staffed preschool. Family members are not required to participate in our program but we welcome parents and guardians in the class anytime!
